Where do the questions come from? Question bank: grade, import and scoring rules

Settings → Question bank decides what the child practises and how much can be earned per day: grade limit (saved on selection), daily points and question caps, once-per-day scoring, difficulty scoring and subject bonus, plus entries to the question bank window (import/export JSON, textbook version management, batch generation).

Questions come from the question bank. Parents set the grade and scoring rules under Settings → Question bank; the child picks subject, textbook version, book, unit and lesson in Select quiz — the parent sets the range, the child sets the pace.

Where do the questions come from? Can I pick the grade?

Questions come from the bank and parents only pick a grade (unlimited / grades 1–12) in the Grade dropdown, which saves on selection; the textbook version, subject and unit are chosen by the child on their own PC so it follows class progress. Banks can be imported from the official site or batch-generated — see below.

What each control does

ItemDefaultNotes
Grade limitUnlimitedSaves on selection and applies globally; parents set only the grade, the child picks the rest
Daily points capOn, 120Prevents grinding points; unchecking removes the cap (the question cap still applies)
Daily question capOn, 60Caps the daily question count to avoid burnout
Score each question once per dayOnAnti-grinding: the same question scores only once per day
Score by difficultyOn: easy 2 / medium 3 / hard 4Rewards harder questions; unchecking hides the three score fields
Subject bonusOff (1×)Enabling expands 12 subjects (Chinese, Maths, English, …): 1 = no bonus, 2 = double for that subject, blank = back to 1×

How do I import or batch-generate questions?

  • Click Open question manager to enter the dedicated window: add, edit and delete questions, import a question bank JSON file, export the filtered questions as JSON with Export JSON for backup, import from the official site, or clear the bank.
  • Click Manage textbook versions to maintain the version list (add, rename, remove). Parents only maintain the list; the child picks a version in Select quiz to follow class progress.
  • Questions live in a separate encrypted question-bank database, apart from the main config database: a fresh install ships with a built-in preset bank so quizzing works out of the box, and the client's export/import configuration also includes the bank and its settings for a complete migration.
  • Click Batch generate to open the generator: create and import a batch of questions by stage, subject and count.
  • The web console also offers a public AI batch-generation tool page; generate there and download for import (see the question bank pages on the official site).

How is the question set chosen?

Question set = the parent's grade ∩ the child's chosen layers, minus questions already answered today. If a range is finished for today the window suggests another unit or lesson; if a range has no questions it prompts you to import a bank first.
